HISTORY & FACILITIES
Calvary Chapel Bible College was founded in 1975 as a short, intensive study program. It was developed as a part of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa’s overall vision to equip the people of God for His service. Throughout its history, CCBC has remained true to its initial vision: to provide a place where serious and committed Christians can learn the Word of God and draw closer to Jesus.
Sharing the 47 acre campus with CCBC is Calvary Chapel Conference Center, where various churches hold retreats. CCBC students (as assigned by the CM199 class) assist in hosting the retreats by meeting the needs of the guests. This affords students the opportunity for practical service and enables CCBC to keep tuition at a minimal level, far below that of comparable schools.
Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa purchased the former Murrieta Hot Springs Resort in Murrieta, California as a site for Calvary Chapel Conference Center and a campus for the Bible College.
The property is located in Riverside County in the Temecula/Murrieta area. The campus can be accessed by either Ontario International Airport or San Diego International Airport, both are within a one hour drive.
Many of the buildings are historic sites and have been renovated to their original charm. The facilities include dining areas, student living quarters, classrooms, a sanctuary, library, bookstore, theater, swimming pool, Roman spa, and an evangelistic coffee house.
Due to the historical character of this facility, the grounds and buildings are limited in their accessibility to the physically handicapped. However, we do not wish to discourage anyone from attending CCBC.
